About Us

Castle Rock Christian Learning Center has served the community since 2007.

Our staff and teachers are passionate about serving children and families with the love of God. We have programs for children 2.5 years old (“Wee Warriors”) up through Pre-K. We would love to connect with you about finding a place for your child to grow and learn.

Our Learning Philosophy

Your child is like a tree planted by STREAMS of living water that provides fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and whatever they do prospers from Psalm 1:3!

S – Spiritual Development! This is our primary objective, so it is the first S in our STREAMS! We want our students to know, love, and follow Jesus! We exist to help nurture and develop Godly students, so we will always focus on Christ and His Word in our approach to educating your child.

T – Technology! Every class has a TV to be used for songs and stories during group lesson time. Our use of technology will focus on enriching content of classroom themes to teach vital skills and concepts.

R – Reading and Writing! Early literacy skills are a priority at our school. Every child has the opportunity to learn emergent reading and writing skills at their own level. We use the Abeka reading program which is known for its successful early reading program. Children are given the opportunity to express early writing skills and to learn to write letters, numbers, and simple sentences when they are ready.

E – Engineering is a part of our block centers with opportunities to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. Preschool engineering design allows children to learn how to follow directions and processes, make informed decisions when building and using materials available to them. They are are taught how to test, evaluate, and improve their designs.

A – The arts is more than drawing and painting! It is about exploring dance, music, dramatic play centers, acting, singing, creative writing, architecture, and so much more! We want our children to explore every talent that God has given to them and be free to demonstrate their personal gifts.

M – Early math skills is more than counting and labeling the numbers. We want our children to have a strong number sense with counting forward and backwards, understanding colors, shapes, sizes, and patterns and be able to handle spatial sense, estimation, measurements and to solve real life math problems.

S – Science and Sports! The scientific method is a part of our daily thinking! Early science skills include exploring, observing, asking questions, predicting, and testing ideas to learn how and why things work. Large motor skills and community building is a part of our outdoor adventures with a new sport skill each month.

Castle Rock Christian Learning Center (CRCLC) is a partner school with Castle Rock Christian Academy (CRCA).

The long-term goal is to build a quality early childhood school and to help build a K– 12 local Christian school. The Abeka curriculum that we use in our early learning environment is continued in CRCA. The foundation that we set for a Christian worldview in the early childhood years will be continued and developed as they progress through elementary school, middle school, high school, and throughout their lives.
